Marcellin College partnered with IGNITE to rebuild their website from WordPress to Webflow following a brand refresh and strategic repositioning. The result is a modern, design-led site that puts prospective families first with intuitive navigation, rich content, and a platform the school team can manage with ease.
The Brief
Following a brand refresh and change of strategy, Marcellin College's existing WordPress website no longer reflected the school's identity, curriculum, or philosophy. As the primary touchpoint for prospective families, the site needed to align with their revised positioning and make it easy for parents to find the information that matters most.
Marcellin wanted a complete ground-up rebuild rather than patching the existing WordPress platform. The goal was a modern, design-first website on Webflow that could be easily maintained by the school's internal team without ongoing developer support.
Goals
- Rebuild the website from WordPress to Webflow CMS for long-term flexibility and lower maintenance costs
- Incorporate new branding and design language with a focus on movement, white space, and photography
- Create an information-first experience for prospective parents, making it easy to explore academics, sport, arts, languages, pastoral care, and the gifted and talented program
- Communicate key messaging: holistic education, strong academics, pastoral care, and the new building program
- Implement sticky navigation, a rotating hero gallery, prominent enrolment CTAs, and a functional search
- Empower the school's content team with visual frontend editing via Webflow
